Sharing love and faith by gathering and serving in our communities to address Health, Habitation, and Hunger.

Thousand Hearts Serve Day was established in 2012 and has been a launching point for community development work. Thousand Hearts 365 was then created because of the communities desire to give back and serve our community year-round.

On May 21, 2021, we had our 9th Annual Thousand Hearts Serve Day! We welcomed back many signature projects and had a great turnout of about 200 community volunteers. In one day we completed 17 different projects throughout the community!

In 2021, we debuted ‘Project Give Back.’ Each year an individual, family, or community need will be chosen to highlight. We raised funds through a free-will donation lunch served by the RiverWorks Good Eats Food Truck. This year we served up 300 burgers and 200 hot dogs with all proceeds going to this year’s recipients Rick and LouAnn Eberspacher.  Rick received a kidney transplant from his daughter Emily in early 2020,  as you can imagine the medical costs for this transplant were great and we were honored to have them be the first recipients of Project Give Back!

Thousand Hearts 365 exists to address community needs as they arise throughout the year. Volunteers can sign up to be ready to serve on an on-call and project-driven basis.

A few examples of the work done through 365:

  • A senior in our community may need help with lawn or home chores, 365 is able to connect people and acts as a resource to match those looking for volunteer opportunities to a community need.
  • Help provide volunteers to assist with local Red Cross Blood Drives
  • Since 2012 we have been facilitating a weekly gathering at Maple Hill Estates Mobile Home Park in Corcoran. They meet once a week for coffee, donuts, and good fellowship.
Interested in sponsoring one or many of these gatherings with a $25 donation? Please contact Denise Kesanen to set up a donation.
