2025 Serve Day

May 17, 2025, marked the 13th annual Thousand Hearts Serve Day—a powerful tradition of community coming together to serve through projects that focus on Habitat, Hunger , and Health. A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated Task Force who spent hours planning this important event, and to everyone who signed up and showed up to complete meaningful projects throughout our community.

Thousand Hearts 365 exists to address community needs as they arise throughout the year. Volunteers can sign up to be ready to serve on an on-call and project-driven basis.

A few examples of the work done through 365:

• Overseeing the restoration of the Rockford Mural at Bridge and Mechanic Streets in Rockford. A professional mural artist guided a group of twelve volunteers of all ages as they worked together to bring the mural back to life.

• A senior in our community may need help with lawn or home chores, 365 is able to connect people and acts as a resource to match those looking for volunteer opportunities to a community need.

• Help provide volunteers to assist with local Red Cross Blood Drives
• Since 2012 we have been facilitating a weekly gathering at Maple Hill Estates Mobile Home Park in Corcoran. They meet once a week for coffee, donuts, and good fellowship.
