Eight years ago Lunch Box Fever (LBF) began as an idea by a college student Emily Pennuto. Lunch Box Fever is a ministry which provides food for children during the summer months at no cost to their families.

Many children who are on the lunch program at school do not have a
reliable source for food during the summer. We strive to provide
nutritious meals that children will enjoy. Lunches are prepared Monday
through Thursday from June through August and are delivered
directly to homes.

Many volunteers are needed to make this another successful year---such as kitchen help, drivers, and volunteers to pick up groceries. We also appreciate donations of food and funds. We ask for your prayers for the children, families, and volunteers of Lunch Box Fever.  In 2016 volunteers served 70 kids meals.
A note from a mom.....
"We want to thank everyone involved in your organization for giving our kids lunches this summer!  It has been such a BLESSING!
It was such a blessing this year as we are going through a hard time with finances and being injured at work.  We are just so grateful.  LBF Family
"I am on SSI and only bring in 1 check a month so with my son here this year, this program has saved me. Thank you so much!
The week of June 12th Lunch Box Fever we will begin feeding school age kids that might not otherwise get a lunch. I know it's hard to believe that would be the case in our community.

For those families who already live on a low income, the additional cost of the student eating at home when they would usually have lunch at school is real. Some are grandparents on a fixed income taking caring of their grandchild for the summer.

We will feed 90 students from June - August for $80 per student ($1.90 a meal). Can you help us meet our goal of raising $7,200?

This program is run 100% by volunteers. Click on the volunteer circle to sign-up to pack or deliver  lunches.
